The mbFeatherTools documentation has been updated with more detailed information on the mb_RotationMapOp operator. Read the doc here

Check out the updated mbFeatherTools gallery. The new pictures demonstrate how to create the effect of soft feathers by adjusting the transparency. The FAQ also has been updated with a few tips on how to work efficiently with the plugin.

By the way, with the latest patch (2.10 from 06/07/11) there is no more need to edit any files within your python installation. You can now happily use a stock 2.5 or 2.6 python.

The demo scenes for the mbFeatherTools plugin are back online. To open them you need Softimage XSI 7.01 or higher. If you don’t have Softimage installed, you can download a trial version from the Autodesk site.

The new Fable III Cinematic Intro shows what can be done with mbFeatherTools. The chicken’s feathers were animated using the mbFeatherTools plugin.
